When the Tomball Charms, led by Debbie Melton, performed to win the Top Honors and Best Show for their 2012 Military Dance they came to International Fun-Shop to assist in face costuming for the occasion. You just can't hold good talent down though so it was off to Hawaii. We'll keep watching for bigger and better things from these girls.
Dana Nye Visit
On January 24, 2012 Dana Nye, the CEO of Ben Nye Makeup, spent the day with some of the team at International Fun-Shop going over the new items and designs in the Ben Nye line for 2012. Dana Nye [CEO Ben Nye Makeup], Gary Douglas [CEO of StageMakeupOnline], and Marilyn Douglas [President of StageMakeupOnline] spent part of the day enjoying a 3 hour lunch on the Beautiful Boardwalk Waterfront discussing the future bond between International Fun Shop and Ben Nye Makeup as a way to complete the excitement and experience of our customers. Great Day Houston
On February 23rd the Mardi Gras Krewe of Gambrinus wanted a special custom Mardi Gras headpiece to present to Debra Duncan of Channel 11 KHOU in Houston while they were on Her show. They contracted with Marilyn, a design artist at International Fun-Shop, to create this special Mardi Gras head piece for Debra.
On June 2010, the 'WiredIn' news Team, after hearing about the vast amount of product the International Fun-Shop had to offer and their low prices, wanted to find out what all the fuss was about. While they were there they interviewed the CEO, Gary Douglas. You can watch what the interview was all about by clicking here.
Exteme Makeover: Home Edition
"Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" paid a visit to the Beach family in Kemah, TX (Season 7, Episode 19). International Fun-Shop/Stage Lighting Online was proud to help with this makeover by providing effect lights and accessories to the project.
Gary Douglas, CEO of International Fun-Shop, speaks out on Galveston's Mardi Gras after the storm, Hurricane Ike, devastated Galveston. This KHOU Houston video is shot right before Gary boarded the evening float parade which International Fun-Shop provided the parade throw beads for.
In January 2009, "90210" Season 1/Episode 11 "That Which We Destroy" aired on the CW. The International Fun-Shop was proud to have provided the Wildcat costume used in the show.
My Name is Earl
In October 2008, "My Name Is Earl" Season 4/Episode 6 "We've Got Spirit " aired on NBC. The International Fun-Shop was proud to have provided the badger costume used in the show. In this episode, to cross Randy off his list, Earl takes his brother to cheerleading camp. Once there, the tight cheer pants and their lack of flexibility are not their only problem. They also have to deal with Kimmi Himmler, the camp owner with a deeply scarred face and milky eye - both the result of a badger accident she suffered while cheering in high school.
Witches of Nassau Bay
Recently, a local TV station aired a report of witches in Nassau Bay. What this really was, was a group of business women from the Nassau Bay area having a luncheon, in which they all dressed as witches. The International Fun-Shop is proud to have provided many of the costumes and hats used for the event. Including a few custom made hats.
She's the Man
On March 17th the new movie "She's The Man" will hit the theaters. International Fun-Shop was proud to provide a customized Griffin Mascot for the movie. It's a great example of how a customized mascot costume can be ordered to fit exactly what you need.
On August 11th the new movie "Accepted" will hit the theaters. International Fun-Shop is proud to be contracted for multiple hot dog mascot costumes used in the film, and for promotions. As well as a sandwich mascot costume used as the school's mascot.
DeShawn Hatch and Ben Nye
In June of 2006, renowned makeup artist DeShawn Hatcher was an educator at the International Makeup Artist Tradeshow in Pasadena, CA. International Fun-Shop/Stage Makeup Online is proud to be DeShawn's preferred source of Ben-Nye makeup. DeShawn has a long list of prestigious clients including Tom Cruise, Vanessa Williams, BeYonce Knowles & many others.
StageMakeupOnline.com Picked as Favorite
On June 2nd 2006, renowned makeup artist Deborah Amar-Schneider appeared on "San Antonio Living" and picked her favorite makeup lines from around the world. Her favorite makeup line from the USA was Ben Nye. International Fun-Shop/Stage Makeup Online was proud to be selected as her preferred provider for Ben Nye makeup.

My Name is Earl
In January 2006, "My Name Is Earl" Season 1/Episode 12 "O Karma, Where Art Thou?" aired on NBC. The International Fun-Shop was proud to have provided the hamburger costume used in the show. In this episode, Earl works as a fast food clerk for a week for a man he stole a wallet from. While there, he discovers that his boss seems to be immune from bad karma.
Bigger is Better
In January 2006, the "Bay Area Houston Visitors Guide" section of "The Scene" published an article showcasing International Fun-Shop's new bigger, better showroom and warehouse. Now located in Seabrook, TX.
Chauvet Honors Fun-Shop
At the January Winter Namm conference in Anaheim, CA in 2005. Chauvet Lighting honored International Fun-Shop/Stage Lighting Online with the Southern Territory Most Improved Dealer of 2004. Chauvet's National Sales Manager Philip Lentini said, "Here is a dealer that is thinking outside the box, they used their creativity to surge to the top of our list.
On October 30th 2003, CSI aired episode 406 'Fur and Loathing'. International Fun-Shop was proud to be chosen to provide multiple mascot costumes for the episode, many of which were used on primary characters in the show.
